On the occasion of World Travel & Tourism council Global Summit in Abu Dhabi, a delegation of IEMI-CMH visited the capital of the United Arab Emirates. An emerging destination on International Affairs. Major hotel groups, such as Marriott, Shangri la, Accor and the retail sector Carrefour have settled there. The opportunities continue to increase.

Abu Dhabi is also planning to launch some cultural projects, which started in 2007, with the opening of the legendary Sheick Zayed mosque. Currently under construction, the project in Saadiyat island will host five museums, two golf courses and numerous hotel chains by 2015 !

Thus, the emirate with 20% of UAE and 80% of expats has the objective to make the tourism industry at the forefront of its development, with the motto « Our time has come…». Procedures of the visa is simplified, exponential flight connectivity and ultra efficient communication led by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority : everything is ready to make this destination the next Hub.
